Progress Report II

Yet another progress report here.

We are advancing at an extremely slow rate, due to me having exams and the rest not being online often. The first village, Villedge, has been programmed up to 60% at best, with only the river to add to complete the mapping (heck, making the river is easy, but making it look great is hard), and adding NPCs (or what we prefer to call, villagers *shifty eyes*).

Going by the speed which we are going at, expect Villedge to be completed three years later. *shifty eyes* Nah, just kidding. I'd say near end of May.

Phil's addition - Due to you being online while I am at school, or asleep while I am home (or something) and James being the other way around, we can only really meet on the weekend. The main issue is that you want everything to be perfect whereas I couldn't care at all if the river looks good or not, it isn't an important part of the storyline and the story isn't even near it for long.

Samy's addition - Right, dude, the river's all done, as I presume you should know. Now let's get those NPCs over and done with!

Progress Report

A report on our progress. This is what we must complete first before programming the storyline (but we can still do a bit of storyline programming when we are bored :P).

Ranked according to percentage of progress. Italics words are comments. Bold remarks those we are currently working on. Underline means completed.

Battle Layout - 100%
Well, this one is easy

Characters - 75%
Starting equipment, skill progression and attribute resist needs to be done.
Skills - 90%
All skills except for James' thievery techniques and monsters' skills are done. Unfortunately, they have to be done while doing monsters due to technical difficulties.
Conditions - 10%
Will go more indepth along the way while creating skills
Items - 0%
Monsters - 0%
System - 0%
These can wait I suppose

Storyline and Meeting

Well today (still going on) the three of us had our first meeting together where we finally managed to get a basic storyline going (with some disagreements) and the game is advancing quite well now. We just need to expand a few things before we start work on the programming.

Samy's edit: Storyline planning for Part 1 (we have 14 parts throughout the entire game ;)) is complete, whoohoo! We will program Part 1 first before plan Part 2's storyline. Hmm, how do we split up the programming work?

Timezone

I've set the timezone of this blog to GMT+8, Singapore Time, my timezone. If you are unhappy with it, James, please tell me on MSN so we can discuss about it. Thanks.

Oh, James, what is your timezone? Would be easier to coordinate between us with that knowledge. Mine is GMT+8 (though if you haven't figure out that yet, I'll smack your face :P).
